SUMMARY:Felted Sheep Appliqué
DESCRIPTION:Needle Felted Sheep and/or Lamb Appliqué \nProgram is at capacity. \nSaturday\, March 14th\, 2026       1:30-3:30 pm\n$20 program fee\n*12 participant maximum* \nLearn how to work with dry wool and a felting needle to create needle-felted appliqués.  Using a single felting needle\, you can arrange the natural and dyed fibers to represent a sheep and/or lamb. Your finished needle-felted design can be appliquéd onto other fabrics or incorporated into mixed media art. \nFacilitated by: Gail Maraman\nGail became interested in wool and felt making when she began caring for a small flock of sheep at Windy Crest Farm in Granville\, Ohio. Using the wool from her own sheep\, she learned how to design and create many different types of felt: traditional\, watercolor\, needle\, and Nuno. Today\, her finished felt pieces include wearable art accessories and items for home decor. \nRegistration\, which is required\, closes three business days prior to the program or when capacity is reached. Program has a minimum of five participants. We ask that program participants pay for the program at the time of registration. Payment can be made using the secure form on this page. DESCRIPTION:Branch Weaving: Nature’s Loom\nDate: March 21st\n12:00 to 2:00 pm\nAges 7 and up\n$10/participant\nLed by Sierra Hamilton \nCreate in direct collaboration with the natural world. This workshop is a tactile\, meditative introduction to the art of branch weaving. Using a forked tree branch as your natural loom\, you’ll learn how to transform simple twigs and colorful fibers into a unique piece of organic art. Dexterity requirement: use of hands and gripping of needles\, thread\, and yarn. \nAbout Sierra: The woods have always been a place of serenity for Sierra and are the direct inspiration for her current body of work. By incorporating elements of the natural world into her paintings\, she encapsulates the tranquility of tall trees and invites viewers to take a moment to breathe among the trees. \nWhere the Trees Grow Slow: We’re excited to introduce the first event in our land justice series! March 17 – April 2 Shepherd’s Corner is hosting an exhibit by Sierra Hamilton\, a Columbus-based visual artist whose work integrates vibrant\, iridescent colors with the natural world. DESCRIPTION:4th Monday of the month\n10:00 am – 11:00 am\n$5/learner (up to $15/family) \n  \nEarly Learners Adventures is for ages 3\, 4\, 5\, 6-year-olds. This group will have similar seasonal activities as our other homeschool groups however\, it will be designed to meet the developmental needs and interests of younger students. You will notice that this program lasts for an hour instead of two. After the planned programming is finished you and your family are welcome to explore the grounds for another hour. As with other groups\, we will spend time outside and may get messy.
