SUMMARY:A Saturday at Shepherd's Corner
DESCRIPTION:Saturday Dec 6th\, 2025\n\n9:00 am – Noon\nFree event! Open to the public.\n \nEnjoy an early December in the woods. Come walk the meditation trail or our St. Catherine labyrinth located near our barn. You might even get to wave at the sheep in the field! (Or possibly even feed them!) \n\nWe will have some of our crafts and creations for purchase. From jams and jellies to bee smooth & some of our super limited run of 2025 maple syrup! \nThis visit is free and open to folks of all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Donations accepted.  \n  \nConsider bringing along unexpired nonperishable food items to add to what we are continually collecting for the local pantries that we serve. We are also collecting gender-neutral shampoo\, bodywash\, body lotion\, toothpaste\, adult toothbrushes\, deodorants\, menstrual supply products for donation.

Take a winter walk through the woods at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center. \nThis day is open to folks of all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. We will have carrots for you to feed to the sheep & Maggie Francesca Llama. \nActivities for the day are free however donations are greatly appreciated.

SUMMARY:Felted Sheep Appliqué
DESCRIPTION:Needle Felted Sheep and/or Lamb Appliqué \nProgram is at capacity. \nSaturday\, March 14th\, 2026       1:30-3:30 pm\n$20 program fee\n*12 participant maximum* \nLearn how to work with dry wool and a felting needle to create needle-felted appliqués.  Using a single felting needle\, you can arrange the natural and dyed fibers to represent a sheep and/or lamb. Your finished needle-felted design can be appliquéd onto other fabrics or incorporated into mixed media art. \nFacilitated by: Gail Maraman\nGail became interested in wool and felt making when she began caring for a small flock of sheep at Windy Crest Farm in Granville\, Ohio. Using the wool from her own sheep\, she learned how to design and create many different types of felt: traditional\, watercolor\, needle\, and Nuno. Today\, her finished felt pieces include wearable art accessories and items for home decor. \nRegistration\, which is required\, closes three business days prior to the program or when capacity is reached. Program has a minimum of five participants. We ask that program participants pay for the program at the time of registration. Payment can be made using the secure form on this page. Take a walk through the woods in the late spring at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center. \nThis day is open to folks of all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. We will have carrots for you to feed to the sheep & Maggie Francesca Llama. \nActivities for the day are free however donations are greatly appreciated.

An individual’s decision to participate in any activity or program at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center \nis entirely voluntary. Visitors/participants assume all risks inherent to or associated with his\, her\, or their participation in the activity or event on Shepherd’s Corner’s property. Visitors/participants also take responsibility for their own level of fitness. \nIn signing this waiver\, I\, intending to be legally bound for myself\, my heirs\, executors\, and administrators\, waive\, release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages I have or may have against Shepherd’s Corner or its employees\, for any and all claims and damages\, demands actions whatsoever in any manner\, as a result of my participation in programs\, events\, or visitation. I hereby grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use my name and likeness in any broadcast\, telecast\, video or print media reporting or advertising of the event without compensation.
