DESCRIPTION:Artist’s Reception\nMarch 26\, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.\nJoin us and artist Sierra Hamilton in recognition of her Where the Trees Grow Slow art exhibition.\n Where the Trees Grow Slow (showing March 17- April 2 at Shepherd’s Corner) is the first event in our Land Justice Series where we welcome BIPOC artists\, filmmakers\, writers\, and growers to teach us\, through intentional programming\, what it means to be on and part of the land. \n\nEnjoy an evening with Sierra Hamilton\, a Columbus-based visual artist whose work integrates vibrant\, iridescent colors with the natural world.\nSierra’s work deeply expresses a healing connection to land. Her art reflects in her own words\, “a soul needs a place to sit and breathe\, to experience a moment of serenity that otherwise feels unachievable during the daily noise. A space to clear our minds; a respite to tend to our emotional selves\, protected by the shade of the towering trees and comforted by the blanket of lush undergrowth.” \n\nHors d’oeuvres will be served.

Join us in our annual Earth Day planting to help plant natives along the path in and around our labyrinth area. \nWith the addition of diverse native plants\, we can renew our labyrinth\, making the space an oasis of renewal for us all – animals and ecosystems included! Native plants promote water filtration\, encourage climate resiliency\, and offer food and habitat sources to wild animals. \nHelp us work toward the renewal of all creation through the restoration of native plants in our woods. \nShepherd’s Corner is an ecological ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Peace that serves as a center for ecology\, spirituality and education. DESCRIPTION:Eco Printing on paper \nSaturday\, August 15th\, 2026       1:30-3:30 pm\n$25 program fee\n*12 participant maximum* \nUsing leaves\, water\, vinegar\, and rusty water\, learn how to transfer the images of leaves directly onto card stock paper. We will arrange the leaves between a sandwich of paper and then steam the sandwich in a roaster for about one hour. The finished project will be a colorful\, detailed print of the leaves that can be framed or used as cards.  \nWe will provide disposable gloves. \n  \nFacilitated by: Gail Maraman\nGail became interested in wool and felt making when she began caring for a small flock of sheep at Windy Crest Farm in Granville\, Ohio. Using the wool from her own sheep\, she learned how to design and create many different types of felt: traditional\, watercolor\, needle\, and Nuno. Today\, her finished felt pieces include wearable art accessories and items for home decor. \nRegistration\, which is required\, closes three business days prior to the program or when capacity is reached. Program has a minimum of five participants. We ask that program participants pay for the program at the time of registration. Payment can be made using the secure form on this page. DESCRIPTION:Elementary: Home School Adventure Days\n\n2nd Monday of the month\n1:00 – 3:00 pm \n$5/student \nProgramming from 1:00 – 3:00 is designed for grades 1-5th grade students (6 years and older). Students older than this are welcome in our middle school program which is held from 9:30 am – 11:30 pm the same day. If you have younger students\, please see our Young Learner Adventure program which takes place on a different rotating day.  While a tagalong outside of this age range is permitted\, the programming will be geared towards the educational needs and interests of 1st – 5th graders. \n\nregister\n\n	\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			*participation waiver\n		\n		\n			 \nShepherd’s Corner is a non-profit organization providing access and programs focused on care of creation\, connection to earth\, and reflection. An individual’s decision to participate in any activity or program at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center \nis entirely voluntary. Visitors/participants assume all risks inherent to or associated with his\, her\, or their participation in the activity or event on Shepherd’s Corner’s property. Visitors/participants also take responsibility for their own level of fitness. \nIn signing this waiver\, I\, intending to be legally bound for myself\, my heirs\, executors\, and administrators\, waive\, release and forever discharge any and all rights and claims for damages I have or may have against Shepherd’s Corner or its employees\, for any and all claims and damages\, demands actions whatsoever in any manner\, as a result of my participation in programs\, events\, or visitation.
