SUMMARY:Meditative Slow Stitching
DESCRIPTION:Meditative Slow Stitching \nTuesday\, February 11th  1:00 – 3:00 pm\n$10/participant\nLed by Donna Nesbitt \nSlow stitching can be a very meditative activity for cold February days. In this class we will be working on a small hot mat to learn a technique derived from Kawandi quilting. You can bring fabric you want to recycle (small scraps in a variety of colors/patterns) or use the fabric provided in class. Traditionally Kawandi was made from sari material\, but we will be using cotton blends. Fabric will be cut into randomly sized rectangles no bigger than 2 1/2 inches. You’ll need a needle\, thread and scissors. Everything else will be provided. \nYou can bring your own fabric that you might like to incorporate as well as a preferred thread if you would like. SUMMARY:Growth: July Labyrinth Walk
DESCRIPTION:CANCELLED DUE TO UNCERTAIN WEATHER \nGrowth: July Labyrinth Walk\nTuesday\, July 16th 7:00 – 8:30 pm\nSuggested Donation: $5\nFacilitated by John Seryak\, Shepherd’s Corner’s Labyrinth Keeper \nMid July is a time when our garden plants should be in full growth. Corn\, zucchini\, tomatoes\, cucumbers\, squash\, cabbage… all are now well on their way to the future harvest. Sun\, rain\, soil and tending all contribute to a healthy crop. \nWe also have our personal\, emotional\, and spiritual gardens that need tending. How are we growing personally? What is needed for the growth we look forward to? Labyrinth walks\, forest baths\, meditation\, alone time\, family\, nurturing relationships\, church\, books?   \n  \n\n\n\nLabyrinth walks are times for quiet reflection. Due to their nature\, silent walking is encouraged. Our labyrinth is located on Wengert Road\, at the second drive to the right. Please wear comfortable shoes. Everyone is welcome! No previous meditation experience or experience walking labyrinths is required. \nLearn more about labyrinths! Here’s a video and here’s another to learn more! \nRegistration\, which is required\, closes three business days prior to the program or when capacity is reached. We ask that program participants pay for the program at the time of registration. Payment can be made using the secure form on this page. You may also pay by check or cash if you prefer. Please register by calling (614) 866-4302\, emailing\, or via this form\, \n\n \nShepherd’s Corner Ecology Center is an outreach of The Dominican Sisters of Peace.
