Activities for the day will include a scavenger hunt\, meeting the animals\, and other seasonal activities! Enjoy the meditation trail & labyrinths on this family friendly day! Take a winter walk through the woods at Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center. \nThis day is open to folks of all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. \nMore information\, including times for scheduled activities geared toward children\, will be announced closer to the date. Activities for the day are free however donations are greatly appreciated.

DESCRIPTION:Home School Adventure Days\n3rd Wednesday of the month\n1:00 – 3:00 pm \n$5/student \nAll ages welcome. Come learn and explore! Join us for seasonal activities each month. On this day we will be focusing on maple sugaring. We will be seeing how trees are tapped\, and learning how sap is turned into syrup! There will be walking to the sugar bush area in the woods and watching the evaporator boil the maple sap. Because of the walking involved and the heat of the evaporator\, this month we are asking that younger\, mobile accompanying siblings be of an age to comply with safety rules\, so they do not accidentally touch something hot. \n  \nRegistration is required. \n  \n

As we walk be mindful of this warmth. \nWe have the warmth of our thoughts for family and friends. As we walk be mindful of the warmth we feel for others. \nWe have warmth in the air even in these frigid times. As we walk be mindful of the warmth in our atmosphere. \nWe have the warmth of the planet experienced in geothermal terms. As we walk be mindful of the warmth that lies beneath. \nAs we walk become mindful of the warmth\, we have for ourselves. Can we be warmed by our own goodness of heart? \n  \n\n\n\nLabyrinth walks are times for quiet reflection. Due to their nature\, silent walking is encouraged. Our labyrinth is located on Wengert Road\, at the second drive to the right. Please wear comfortable shoes. Everyone is welcome! No previous meditation experience or experience walking labyrinths is required. \nLearn more about labyrinths!
