We’re going to spend three meetings talking about Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Kimmerer. We’ll meet three Thursday evenings\, 6:30-8:00\, in the barn and enjoy tea and cookies while we talk.  \nBraiding Sweetgrass is a beautiful reflection on how humanity needs to repair its relationship with the earth by shifting towards an attitude of gratitude\, reciprocity\, and respect. Kimmerer blends scientific knowledge with Indigenous wisdom to share what plants\, and nature can teach us. Join us in our annual Earth Day planting to help plant natives along the path in and around our labyrinth area. \nWith the addition of diverse native plants\, we can renew our labyrinth\, making the space an oasis of renewal for us all – animals and ecosystems included! DESCRIPTION:Root & Reach\nThursday\, May 21st\, 2026\n6:30 – 8:00 pm\n$8/participant\n\nLed by Nicole Envid\n\n  \nRoot and Reach: Participants will learn to root themselves in faith and gratitude\, while reaching towards strength using the land of Shepherd’s Corner Ecology Center for intentional movement and walking. This program weaves together nature\, movement\, in Christian spiritual reflection.  \nParticipants should be 18 years or older and able to move at a moderate pace while walking. Wear comfortable clothes for movement and sneakers. The trails we’ll encounter are unimproved. In the event of inclement weather\, we will adjust the programming and hold it indoors.  \nWe invite you to bring along a reusable water bottle. Other items you can bring if you would like: yoga mat/towel\, light hand weights or stretch bands\, weighted vest for walking.  \n  \n\nNicole Envid is a nature lover and has been in environmental education for over 20 years. Backed by her Christian faith\, Nicole brings a Biblical perspective to her programs and believes what we gain by being in nature and considering the world around us can bring joy and gratitude. We will have carrots for you to feed to the sheep & Maggie Francesca Llama. \nActivities for the day are free however donations are greatly appreciated.

Mindful of each breath\, each step and one’s surroundings. The labyrinth often is understood as a metaphor for life or a pilgrimage. Each participant brings their unique life situation from which to gain insights and discern one’s place. John is a Dominican Associate and longtime caretaker of the labyrinths at Shepherd’s Corner. John embraces the walking of the labyrinth as a prayer experience that benefits the participant’s spiritual journey in life. \n  \nLabyrinth walks are times for quiet reflection. DESCRIPTION:Elementary: Home School Adventure Days\n\n2nd Monday of the month\n1:00 – 3:00 pm \n$5/student \nProgramming from 1:00 – 3:00 is designed for grades 1-5th grade students (6 years and older). Students older than this are welcome in our middle school program which is held from 9:30 am – 11:30 pm the same day. If you have younger students\, please see our Young Learner Adventure program which takes place on a different rotating day.  While a tagalong outside of this age range is permitted\, the programming will be geared towards the educational needs and interests of 1st – 5th graders. \n\nregister\n\n	\n		\n			\n				\n			\n			*participation waiver\n		\n		\n			 \nShepherd’s Corner is a non-profit organization providing access and programs focused on care of creation\, connection to earth\, and reflection.
