DESCRIPTION:Saturday Dec 6th\, 2025\n\n9:00 am – Noon\nFree event! Open to the public.\n \nEnjoy an early December in the woods. Come walk the meditation trail or our St. Catherine labyrinth located near our barn. You might even get to wave at the sheep in the field! (Or possibly even feed them!) \n\nWe will have some of our crafts and creations for purchase. From jams and jellies to bee smooth & some of our super limited run of 2025 maple syrup! \nThis visit is free and open to folks of all ages. Children should be accompanied by an adult. Donations accepted.  \n  \nConsider bringing along unexpired nonperishable food items to add to what we are continually collecting for the local pantries that we serve. We are also collecting gender-neutral shampoo\, bodywash\, body lotion\, toothpaste\, adult toothbrushes\, deodorants\, menstrual supply products for donation.

DESCRIPTION:Foraging Jams & Jellies \nSaturday\, November 15th\n$12/person – Program is open to participants 10 years old and older\n10:00 am – 12:00 pm \nJoin us on an endeavor to find a positive use for native & invasive plants as we share several different examples of foraged items that can be used to make jelly or jam. We will learn how to identify the plant before we harvest their fruits and learn how to create jelly using them. Due to their nature\, silent walking is encouraged. Our labyrinth is located on Wengert Road\, at the second drive to the right. Please wear comfortable shoes. Everyone is welcome! No previous meditation experience or experience walking labyrinths is required. \n\n\n\nLearn more about labyrinths! Here’s a video and here’s another to learn more! \nRegistration\, which is required\, closes three business days prior to the program or when capacity is reached. With Ayurvedic teas and a yoga practice to heat and getting us moving\, we will feel lighter and more energized to face the warmer month ahead. We will be sampling some teas that are non-caffeinated and loaded with healing spices. Recipes will be available\, and you will be taking your own personalized tea home with you.\n\nWe will be doing a yoga practice that is appropriate for this season of kapha\, so wear comfortable clothes and bring your mat. We will have some mats and props available too. All are welcome.

DESCRIPTION:Elementary: Home School Adventure Days\n3rd Wednesday of the month\n1:00 – 3:00 pm \n$5/student \nProgramming from 1:00 – 3:00 is designed for grades 1-5th grade students (6 years and older). Students older than this are welcome in our middle school program which is held from 9:30 am – 11:30 pm the same day. If you have younger students\, please see our Young Learner Adventure program which takes place on a different rotating day.  While a tagalong outside of this age range is permitted\, the programming will be geared towards the educational needs and interests of 1st – 5th graders. \n  \n

DESCRIPTION:Maple Sugaring Program\nSaturday\, March 1st\n10:00 am – noon\n$6 per participant \nLed by Shepherd’s Corner Staff and volunteers. \nLearn about maple sugaring from tree sap out the tap\, to syrup on your breakfast. Come see our boiling process and taste our syrup\, and more! We ask that children attending be accompanied by adults. Program will involve walking and will be outside. \nRegistration for the syrup tour is required. \n*** We will also be offering small group tours on Weekdays during the maple season if able. Contact us to be notified when booking begins. *** \n  \n\n \nShepherd’s Corner Ecology Center is an outreach of The Dominican Sisters of Peace.
